Font Creator

Everybody uses fonts for writing. It doesn't matter what the writing project is, fonts are vital for getting the job done. But in spate of this, some people still use pen and paper for all their writing needs, maybe because they don't know how to use a text editor or they just want the writing to seem more traditional. For the second category of users, there is a solution, the program Font Creator. As its name suggests, it's a software that allows modifying existing fonts or creating new ones, using an existing image or just by drawing with the mouse. Windows includes a font that tries to simulate handwriting, but this is rather artistic than real.

The program is easy to install and completes this process in a flash. It can run on every version of Microsoft Windows and requires little system resources. Takes up around 11 MB of hard disk space, so it's ideal for users having limited disk space.

The interface seems a little bit crowded at first, especially for a beginners, but in the same time it's very easy and fast to understand. All the program's commands and options can be accessed using the classical menu or by using the graphical toolbar. The user can import an existing system font and modify every letter, he can import a image that has text written on it or can write the text freely using the mouse.

Font Creator features guide lines for correctly positioning every letter and can save it automatically. For testing writing using the created letters, the program features a test mode. This way, the user can see how the text will actually look like and can make adjustments for every letter, if that's necessary.

The final result can be saved as a font file and can also be registered into the system fonts folder, for the user to be able to use it in any writing application.
